Responsibilities Prioritize, process, coordinate and transcribe physicians' orders by copying information,



completing required forms and/or entering information into the computer and distributing information; perform follow‑up as necessary. Schedule, book and coordinate patient appointments by receiving appointment requests, arranging appropriate appointment dates and times, making follow‑up appointments, adjusting appointments as required in accordance with patient and facility requirements; arrange patient tests; maintain appointment diaries. Act as a communication link for the assigned area by contacting other facilities and departments, including bed booking to exchange information regarding bed availability to assist admissions, discharges and/or patient transfers; receive patient tests, and receive visitors, provide information and direct to appropriate area. Assemble and maintain patient charts according to established procedures; transcribe patient datainto applicable health record system; attach patient documents such as lab and/or special examination reports to chart; dismantle and forward discharged patient records to Health Records.
