English Teacher (JK – Grade 6)

Position Requirements
Must reside in Oakville or commute from Mississauga, Burlington, Etobicoke, or Milton.
Work after‑school and evening hours (4:00 pm – 8:00 pm) and Saturdays (10:00 am – 3:00 pm).
Commitment until the end of the school year is preferred; continuing through summer is even better.
Must be able to commute to Oxford Learning Uptown Core – the position is in‑person; no relocation package is offered.
Vulnerable sector screening is mandatory.
Reliability and punctuality are essential.

Education
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
Teaching certification.
Solid knowledge of the current Kindergarten to Grade 6 curriculum.

Experience
Experience teaching Kindergarten to Grade 6 students.
Ability to teach young children in a joyful manner.
Robust English written and oral communication skills and the ability to guide students’ understanding through a variety of resources.
Ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a time.

Responsibilities
Teach up to three students at a time at different levels.
Work primarily in‑person (with some online sessions).




Follow Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies.
Fill in post‑lesson notes.
Complete daily student communication updates.
Maintain a friendly and qualified manner at all times.

Job Type & Compensation

Part‑time. Salary: $19 – $22 per hour.

Schedule
Evenings (Monday to Friday, 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm).
Saturday availability (10:00 am – 3:00 pm).
