About the Role

Our client is a rapidly expanding leader in the renewable energy sector and is seeking a talented Solar PV Engineer to join their team in Kimberley . This role is instrumental in designing, developing, and implementing photovoltaic (PV) solar power systems. You will be involved in all phases of solar project development, from initial site assessment and system design to performance monitoring and optimization. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to South Africa's sustainable energy future, working on innovative solar solutions in the Northern Cape. Key Responsibilities

Design and engineer grid-tied and off-grid solar PV systems , including component selection and sizing. Conduct site assessments, feasibility studies, and energy production estimations. Develop detailed electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and installation plans. Oversee the installation and commissioning of solar PV projects, ensuring compliance with standards. Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and recommend optimization strategies.



Stay current with advancements in solar technology and relevant regulations. Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. 2-4 years of experience in the design and engineering of solar PV systems . Proficiency in solar design software (e.g., PVsyst, Helioscope) and electrical CAD tools. Understanding of grid interconnection requirements and renewable energy policies. Robust analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and project coordination abilities. Benefits
