Enhance your qualified journey as a Registered Technologist Special – Ultrasound at Brightshores in Wiarton. This role entails performing high-quality ultrasound examinations in a full time capacity until approximately October 2027.
Reporting to the Manager of Medical Imaging and Cardiology, your main responsibilities will involve conducting ultrasound exams and monitoring equipment for image quality. You will guide patients throughout their examination journey and evaluate the necessity of procedures based on clinical history.
Key Responsibilities:
• Execute ultrasound examinations with precision
• Monitor and adjust equipment for quality imaging
• Provide explicit instructions to patients pre- and post-examination
• Document findings and communicate urgent results
• Ensure compliance with Sonography Canada standards
Requirements:
• Relevant community college or undergraduate degree
• Active registration with Sonography Canada and ARDMS
• Technical certifications in Abdomen and Obs/Gyn
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Availability for all shifts including standby
