The University of British Columbia, Okanagan Campus, seeks a full-time Lecturer in Indigenous Studies starting January 2027. This position emphasizes teaching from introductory to advanced levels in Indigenous studies.
As a member of the Department of Community, Culture and Global Studies, the ideal candidate will possess a PhD and a solid commitment to Indigenous methodologies. Instructing courses such as Introduction to Decolonization and Indigenous Governance, you will engage deeply with Indigenous communities and foster a diverse learning environment. This role prioritizes candidates with teaching experience and lived knowledge related to Indigenous topics.
Key Responsibilities:
• Teach core Indigenous studies courses at various levels
• Participate in departmental processes and community engagements

Requirements:
• PhD in Indigenous studies or a related field
