Advance Indigenous education as a K-8 Native Language Educator at TDSB. Ideal candidates will have experience as First Nations, Métis, or Inuit persons, channeling their unique perspectives into effective teaching. You will implement culturally relevant pedagogy while supporting students' diverse learning needs and fostering a positive Indigenous identity.Key Responsibilities:
Lead initiatives for equity and inclusiveness
Develop culturally relevant learning assessments
Facilitate mentorship and collaboration among staff
Collect and interpret student success metrics
Cover Ojibwe language curriculum and instructionRequirements:
Ontario College of Teachers Certificate in valuable standing
Ojibwe (Anishinaabemowin) fluency required
Robust understanding of Indigenous community dynamics
Proven experience in cooperative educational environments
