The Food Service Worker 1 assists in the overall operations of the Students’ Union’s coffee shop,Daily Grind, which is located in the Students' Union Building on the U of A's North Campus.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare coffees (including speciality) and serve muffins, cookies, scones and other food products in a food protected manner.
Provide excellent customer service to students, staff and public clients in a qualified and friendly manner.
Ensure safe storage, sanitation and cleanliness of all areas and supplies.
Serve as cashier as required.
Assist with storage and inventory of food products in a timely manner.
Perform other job-related duties as required by management.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS




Provincially-recognized food safety certification is an asset.
Related industry experience is an asset.
Conscientious work habits, appearance and personal hygiene.
Excellent customer service skills including knowledge of food quality standards
Minimum Alberta Grade 12, or equivalent.
