Overview Join Cosmo 1:1 (formerly ClassUp), the premier online learning platform that connects K-12 students in the US, Canada, and across Asia with tutors from top US and Canadian universities for personalized lessons. As a Cosmo 1:1 tutor, you will have a flexible and consistent schedule that you set. We teach math, ELA, and SAT classes and provide Cosmo-provided learning plans for our tutors to use. This is a great opportunity for experienced educators to work with students in an after-school setting, meeting with your students at a set time each week for 50-minute 1-on-1 lessons. You will create a welcoming and engaging learning environment and help students grow. Tutors should be reliable role models who arrive prepared, on time, and with a kind demeanor. Responsibilities Provide personalized 1-on-1 instruction for your students Update your availability in the Cosmo App in a timely manner Prepare appropriate lesson materials for the student’s age and ability Submit Class Feedback after each lesson Communicate with parents and students in a professional manner Attend all classes on time and in a professional setting Communicate with Cosmo staff Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree 3 years of experience teaching grades K-12 in math, ELA, or SAT prep Experience with K-12 ELA/Math standards Teaching license preferred but not required Rapid and reliable internet connection and access to a Windows or Mac PC with a minimum CPU of 6000 Able to commit to a minimum of 6 months of teaching with Cosmo1:1 Available between 6-9 AM EST or 3-10 PM EST on Monday through Friday or during the weekends Minimum of 20 hours of availability on a weekly basis Access to a private and quiet location Passion for helping students learn Currently located in the United States or Canada Approachable, patient, adaptive, considerate, enthusiastic, and reliable in supporting student learning Employment details Seniority level: Entry level Employment type: Part-time Job function: Education Industries: Primary and Secondary Education, Education, and E-Learning Providers Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at Cosmo by 2x.
