To be confirmed About the Role We are seeking an experienced

Lead Meter Technician

to support a water meter exchange project in

St. Thomas, Ontario . The Lead Technician will be responsible for completing water meter exchanges while providing field support, guidance, and troubleshooting assistance to the technician team. The successful candidate will help ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to project requirements. Preference will be given to candidates who are

already located in St. Thomas or the surrounding area .

Key Responsibilities

Complete water meter exchanges at residential and commercial properties.

Support, guide, and assist technicians in the field.

Provide troubleshooting assistance for more complex installations or issues.

Help maintain quality and productivity standards across the project.

Assist with training and onboarding of technicians as required.

Communicate field issues, access concerns, and project updates to the Project Manager.

Complete assigned appointments according to the project schedule.





Accurately record meter information and work completion using mobile devices and digital reporting systems.

Interact professionally with customers and represent the project in a courteous manner.

Follow all required safety procedures and project requirements.

Qualifications

Previous experience with water meter exchanges, plumbing, utility work, or similar field service work.

Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

Previous experience leading, training, or supporting technicians is an asset.

Ability to work independently and provide direction to others.

Robust communication and customer service skills.

Comfortable using smartphones, tablets, and digital reporting systems.

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Legally entitled to work in Canada.

Ability to pass any required background or screening checks.

Schedule & Availability

Project-based position in St. Thomas, Ontario.

Candidates local to St. Thomas and the surrounding area are preferred.

Availability to work until

6:00 PM is an asset .

Saturday availability is preferred.

Flexibility to accommodate project scheduling requirements is expected.

Working Conditions

Work will take place primarily at residential and commercial properties.

Indoor and outdoor work in varying weather conditions.

Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and working in confined or restricted spaces.

Ability to lift and carry up to approximately

40 lbs.

Regular interaction with customers and members of the public.
