A respected BC regulatory body is looking for a corporate commercial lawyer to step in as Associate General Counsel for a 12-month contract.
The role:
This is a broad, senior in-house mandate. You will be advising across the full corporate legal function - contracts, procurement, governance, privacy, HR, and board-level strategy. No two weeks look the same and the work carries real complexity and variety.
What you will be working on:
Major vendor contract negotiations
Privacy law and FOIPPA compliance
Corporate governance and board committee advice
MOU negotiations with other regulatory bodies
HR matters including employment agreements and sensitive terminations
Strategic legal advice to senior leadership
