Argus is seeking an experienced Occupational Health and Safety Specialist to enhance workplace safety protocols and foster a culture of health compliance. This role involves direct support to leadership and ongoing safety program improvements.
As the Health and Safety Advisor, you will collaborate with operational leaders to support safety objectives and compliance with the Alberta Occupational Health and Safety Act. You will be responsible for maintaining the Health and Safety Management System, conducting training, and managing risk assessments and incident investigations. Your expertise will guide Argus in creating a safe and efficient manufacturing workplace.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain Argus' Health and Safety Management System




• Drive hazard assessments and inspections
• Direct incident and near-miss investigations
• Implement safety training and competency programs
• Prepare health and safety compliance reports
Requirements:
• Certified in occupational health and safety
• Minimum 3 years in a similar role
• Familiar with Alberta safety legislation
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Ability to travel between facilities
