Develop and implement the HSE strategy for major nuclear projectsOversee the design, implementation, and continual improvement of HSE management systemsLead audits, inspections, and incident investigationsEnsure compliance with OSHA, CNSC, and other applicable standards and regulationsChampion a proactive safety culture through engagement, training, and accountability initiativesProvide HSE leadership for large-scale nuclear construction projectsCollaborate with project managers and EPCm partnersBuild and maintain relationships with regulatory authorities, contractors, and internal stakeholdersIdentify trends and implement creative solutions using data-driven insightsDevelop and maintain emergency response plans, including drills and radiological event readinessSupport licensing activities and provide HSE input into regulatory submissions and hearingsAct as primary liaison for safety-related inquiriesEstablish HSE requirements for contractors and suppliers and monitor compliance through audits and joint programsIntegrate environmental protection measures into project executionOversee compliance with environmental permits and sustainability objectivesDevelop and manage the HSE budget and allocate resourcesDrive adoption of advanced safety technologies such as digital monitoring and predictive analyticsProvide regular HSE performance reports to executive leadership and the boardEnsure governance frameworks for decision-making and accountabilityCollaborate with nuclear safety and quality assurance teamsEnsure compliance with ethical conduct, cyber-security, import-export regulations, intellectual property protections, and security clearance protocolsRemain accountable for nuclear and industrial safety,



training, corrective action programs, and performance standardsInterface with customers, suppliers, Candu Partners, senior executives, department functional managers, and trades personnelTravel to sites and meet with clientsRequirementsMinimum 10 years of progressive HSE senior leadership, including roles in major projectsProfessional certifications such as CSP, CIH, or NEBOSH are highly desirableExperience in Nuclear, Oil and Gas, Mining sectors and with CDM regsExperience in Nuclear Reactor new design and construction projects preferredExperience managing direct reports within a project delivery functional support modelExtensive knowledge of OSHA regulations and best practicesWorking knowledge of industrial safety and nuclear safety cultureUnderstanding of nuclear supply chain and materials management principlesProven ability to manage HSE systems and assurance processesAbility to build and inspire a team to work towards common goalsAppreciation of the importance of Quality Assurance Programs and their significance to the nuclear industryDemonstrated success in building and sustaining a strong safety cultureLead by example, setting high standards for Health & Safety and Nuclear Safety CultureExcellent organizational, communication,
