Position Summary: Hatch is seeking a Geotechnical or Structural co-op student in our Hydropower & Dams Group for a position starting in January 2027.

Reporting to the Saskatchewan Hydropower & Dams Regional Manager, you will support local and national projects working from our Saskatoon Office.

Responsibilities: Providing engineering support for Hydropower & Dams projects in pre-feasibility through to detailed engineering, dam safety and operational support
For geotechnical: Assist in developing and completing analyses (slope stability, seepage) and quantity estimates
Supporting various field assignments including geotechnical investigations, data processing, and report writing
For structural: Assist in completing structural analysis and design calculations for concrete and structural steel
Supporting the production of reports, technical drawings, and specifications
Supporting senior staff in business development and marketing to existing and new Hatch clients in the hydropower sector, preparation of expressions of interest and proposals
Education and Experience: Pursuing a degree in Geotechnical or Civil/Structural Engineering from an accredited university
Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
Full Class 5 driver license
Competencies (knowledge, skill, attributes):
Good understanding of engineering and business fundamentals as they apply to engineering problems and projects
Ability to learn quickly and to take on new challenges
Collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong written and verbal English communication skills
Shows critical and creative thinking and problem solving, and brings forward solutions for our clients' toughest challenges

Compensation: Range:



$26.00 - $33.00

Your individual compensation within this range will depend on factors such as skills, experience, qualifications and location.
