Join the Region of Waterloo as a Full-Time Roads Maintainer. This role involves general roads maintenance and seasonal snow and ice control on regional roads and properties. As a Roads Maintainer, you will work out of three locations, operating various vehicles including dump trucks and utility vehicles. Responsibilities include performing maintenance checks, handling snow removal, and cutting vegetation. Your expertise will contribute significantly to maintaining protected and accessible roads throughout the Waterloo region. Key Responsibilities:
- Operate tandem-axle dump trucks for material transport
- Perform routine maintenance checks on vehicles and equipment
- Remove snow and ice using trucks and hand tools
- Cut grass and vegetation along roadways
- Install and remove snow fences as required Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of related experience
- Valid class D driver's licence with Z endorsement
- Ability to work various shifts, including nights and weekends
- Physical capability to lift and operate machinery
