Payment Business Analyst (BSA) Location: Toronto, ON Work Mode: Hybrid Employment Type: Full time Permanent (FTE) Experience: 6 8 Years Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Senior Payments Business Analyst with strong expertise in High-Value Wire Payments and Financial Services.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with payment systems such as Lynx, SWIFT, and Fedwire , along with strong knowledge of API, MQ, file-based feeds, and ISO 20022 integrations.

The candidate will bridge business and technology teams by analyzing payment processes, defining requirements, designing solutions, and producing comprehensive solution documentation.

Key Responsibilities Analyze complex payment business processes and design solutions for end-to-end wire payment workflows .

Gather, analyze, and translate business requirements into functional and technical documentation.

Create BRDs, Impact Analysis (IA), Functional Specifications, Interface Designs, User Stories, and Data Mapping documents .

Define requirements for payment integrations involving APIs, MQ/message queues, XML, CSV, and file-based feeds .

Work with technical teams to support payment system integrations and solution implementation.

Collaborate with business stakeholders, vendors, developers, and technology teams.

Present solution designs, workflows, requirements, and project updates using Power

Point .

Investigate UAT/SIT defects and production issues and provide recommendations and resolution paths.

Support production implementation and post-implementation activities.





Maintain requirements traceability from business requirements through implementation and testing.

Work effectively within Agile and/or Waterfall methodologies .

Required Skills & Qualifications 6 8 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Senior Business Analyst, or Solution Designer.

Strong experience in the Financial Services / Banking domain.

Direct experience with High-Value Wire Payments is mandatory/preferred , including: Canada Lynx SWIFT Fedwire Wire payment processing/workflows Strong understanding of payment integrations using: API MQ / Message Queuing File-based feeds XML / CSV ISO 20022 Strong knowledge of end-to-end payment processing and integration workflows.

Excellent documentation skills with experience creating BRDs, IAs, Functional Specifications, Interface Designs, User Stories, and Data Mapping documents .

Strong analytical, solution-design, and problem-solving skills.

Excellent stakeholder communication and presentation skills.

Strong Power

Point skills with the ability to articulate complex solutions clearly.

Experience working with business, technology, vendors, and development teams.

Experience with Agile and/or Waterfall delivery methodologies.

Ideal Candidate: The ideal candidate is a Payments Business Analyst / Senior BSA / Payments Solution Designer who has worked directly on high-value wire payment systems , particularly Lynx, SWIFT, or Fedwire , and can independently analyze payment processes, define integration requirements, create detailed solution documentation, and communicate effectively with both business and technical stakeholders.
