Senior QA Automation Engineer Location: Toronto, ON Engagement: Contract Work Arrangement: Onsite Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Senior QA Automation Engineer / Test Automation Engineer with 7+ years of software quality assurance and test automation experience.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in Selenium, test automation framework development, programming, API testing, performance testing, SQL, and Agile/Dev

Ops methodologies .

Experience with Load

Runner, HL7/FHIR web services, REST APIs, security testing, accessibility testing, and BI solutions will be highly valuable.

Key Responsibilities Identify opportunities to automate software development and testing processes.

Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated QA tests.

Design and develop scalable test automation frameworks .

Develop and maintain automation scripts using tools such as Selenium .

Evaluate and utilize emerging test automation technologies, including AI-based testing solutions .

Perform functional and non-functional system testing.

Conduct regression testing for application releases, patches, enhancements, and upgrades.

Perform testing of COTS applications, in-house web applications, integration components, and extensions.

Perform API and web-service testing involving REST, JSON, XML, and HL7/FHIR .

Use tools such as Postman and SOAP UI or programming languages for API testing.





Perform enterprise-level performance testing using Load

Runner .

Develop performance scripts, scenarios, execute tests, and analyze performance results.

Perform security component testing involving SAML and JWT .

Execute database and data validation testing using SQL and ad-hoc queries .

Identify, document, and track defects and quality issues.

Develop test strategies, test plans, test cases, test scripts, and other QA documentation.

Perform accessibility testing against WCAG 2.0 standards.

Test BI solutions, reports, dashboards, and analytical data for accuracy.

Work effectively within Agile, traditional, Dev

Ops, and cross-functional teams .

Prepare test results and communicate findings during defect reviews.

Required Qualifications 7+ years of software QA/testing experience .

Strong experience in test automation .

Hands-on experience with Selenium .

Experience designing and developing automation frameworks .

Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Java, Python, C#, or similar .

Experience with Load

Runner and enterprise performance testing.

Solid experience with API testing .

Experience with REST, JSON, and XML .

Experience with SQL and database validation .

Knowledge of functional, regression, integration, and system testing.

Experience working in Agile and/or Dev

Ops environments .
