Your New Role

Reporting to the VP Finance, the Property Accountant will be responsible for the full-cycle accounting and financial reporting of a portfolio ofmercial office and retail properties totaling approximately 550,000 square feet.

Key responsibilities include: Performing full-cycle accounting for a portfolio ofmercial properties Preparing monthly financial statements, reporting packages, and supporting working papers Managing month-end and year-end close processes Maintaining property general ledgers and supporting budgeting and forecasting activities Processing tenant billings, rent charges, and tenant receipts Reconciling tenant accounts and resolving discrepancies Administering additional rent recoveries and operating cost reconciliations Maintaining lease information within Yardi, including amendments, renewals, and escalations Analyzing operating results and investigating financial variances Supporting audits, HST filings,



and otherpliance requirements Working closely with property management and operations teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and tenant accounting Assisting with process improvements and special projects as required This is an excellent opportunity for someone seeking broad exposure to all aspects ofmercial property accounting within a collaborative and growing organization.

What You''ll Need to Succeed

To be considered for this role, you will possess: 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably withinmercial real estate or property accounting Experience accounting for office properties A diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field Experience with Yardi Voyager or a similar property management/accounting system Strong Excel and financial reporting skills Excellentmunication and interpersonal abilities Strong attention to detail and a high level of accountability A stable employment history demonstrating reliability andmitment The ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment A flexible, hands-on approach and positive attitude What You''ll Get in Return
