About the Role Our client is seeking a passionate and community-focused Sports Development Officer to promote and expand participation in sports programs across Kimberley. You will be responsible for identifying opportunities, developing new initiatives, and engaging with local communities, schools, and sports clubs to increase sports engagement for all age groups and abilities. This role is crucial for fostering a healthier and more active community through the strategic development and delivery of accessible sports programs, contributing to grassroots sports development and well-being. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement strategic plans for sports development within the community. Organize and deliver community sports programs, events, and coaching clinics. Build and maintain strong relationships with local schools, sports clubs, and community organizations. Promote participation in sports, particularly among underserved groups.



Seek funding opportunities and manage budgets for sports development projects. Monitor and evaluate the impact and success of sports development initiatives. Requirements Degree or diploma in Sports Management, Leisure Studies, or a related field. Experience in sports development, community engagement, or program management. Strong understanding of various sports and their developmental pathways. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
