The Medication Assessment Centre seeks a Social Worker focused on chronic pain management in Saskatchewan. This role involves delivering trauma-informed care and working collaboratively with health professionals.
As part of the USask Chronic Pain Clinic, you’ll provide crucial counseling and education to clients, directly impacting their quality of life. You will engage in both face-to-face and remote consultations while continually developing your clinical skills and participating in team initiatives. Expect to take on a significant role in patient support and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide counseling and educational support to chronic pain clients
• Develop and evaluate care plans and assessments
• Work alongside a diverse healthcare team for comprehensive care
• Attend team meetings focused on case operations and strategy
• Contribute to program development and clinic goals
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Social Work
• Valid social work license in Saskatchewan
• At least two years’ experience in healthcare counseling
• Solid communication and advocacy skills
• Experience in managing complex client needs
