We are hiring a Mechanical Assembler to build, fit, and integrate custom plastics converting and extrusion machinery from the ground up.

You will manage custom 3-to-6-week buildsincluding slitters, winders, and die assembliestranslating complex blueprints into high-precision equipment.

Located in Mississauga Ontario, this is a permanent full time role! Straight Days! Advantages -Competitive Pay: Up to $32.00/hour starting rate -Consistent Schedule: Day shift (7:00 AM 3:30 PM, Monday

Responsibilities -Assembly & Integration: Assemble, fit, and integrate custom web-handling and converting machinery strictly adhering to engineering blueprints and mechanical schematics. -Drive & Structural Alignment: Precision-align, mount, and calibrate critical mechanical assemblies, including machine frames, rollers, shafts, bearings, gearboxes, and web-guiding systems. -Precision Tuning & Quality Control: Level post-assembly rollers, verify bearing fits, set drive tensioning, and utilize precision tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, torque wrenches) to enforce strict mechanical tolerances. -Fluid Power Installation: Assemble, route, and fit pneumatic and hydraulic lines, valves, and cylinders,



performing initial pressure testing and diagnostic troubleshooting. -Design & Engineering Support: Identify drawing discrepancies or structural defects and partner directly with engineering to execute effective design adjustments. -Rigging & Custom Machining: Safely operate overhead cranes for heavy equipment positioning and perform benchtop modifications, custom fit-ups, and light machining as required.

Qualifications -Education & Experience: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology or 3+ years of hands-on custom industrial machinery assembly experience. -Blueprint Reading: Robust proficiency in interpreting complex mechanical assembly drawings, schematics, and digital work instructions. -Mechanical & Drive Systems: Deep knowledge of mechanical power transmission, drive alignments, gearboxes, and precision component fitments. -Precision Measurement: 1+ years of practical experience utilizing precision instruments (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, torque wrenches) to enforce tight tolerances. -Fluid Power: Hands-on experience assembling, routing, and troubleshooting basic hydraulic and pneumatic systems. -Technical Problem-Solving: Sharp analytical and diagnostic skills to identify design discrepancies and mechanical issues early in assembly. -Physical Capability: Physical stamina to lift up to 30 lbs and work efficiently in an active manufacturing shop floor environment.
