About the Role

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Telecoms Installation Specialist to join their team on a full-time, on-site basis in Kimberley. You will be responsible for the precise installation and configuration of telecommunications equipment at various customer premises and network sites. This role requires excellent technical skills, a commitment to quality workmanship, and the ability to work efficiently and safely in different environments. You will play a crucial role in ensuring our customers receive reliable and high-performing telecommunications services.

Key Responsibilities

- Install, configure, and test telecommunications hardware, including routers, modems, switches, and wiring.
- Perform cable management, termination, and testing for voice and data networks.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot installation-related issues, ensuring proper functionality.
- Educate customers on the use and features of newly installed equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of installations, site conditions, and equipment status.




- Adhere to all company policies, safety standards, and installation best practices.

Requirements

- Previous experience in telecommunications installation or a related technical field.
- Proficiency with hand and power tools, and test equipment used in the installation process.
- Solid understanding of basic networking concepts and cabling standards.
- Strong troubleshooting abilities and a methodical approach to problem-solving.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Must be available for full time, on-site work in Kimberley and surrounding areas.
