Shape future industry leaders as a Part-Time Professor in Real Estate Management at the University of Ottawa. Teach foundational real estate concepts including valuation, property management, and investment strategies every Wednesday evening.
The Telfer School of Management is seeking a part-time instructor for the Introduction to Real Estate Management course, ADM3353M, for the Winter 2027 semester. Ideal candidates will bring a Master's or MBA with significant knowledge and a minimum of 10 years in real estate economics, valuation, and urban planning. Candidates should leverage experiential learning to enhance student engagement and provide valuable insights about the Canadian real estate market.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver lectures on real estate topics including economics and legal principles
• Facilitate discussions on property types: residential,
commercial, industrial
• Guide students through valuation and property management processes
• Foster connections with industry partners for enhanced learning
• Utilize experiential teaching methods to engage students
Requirements:
• Master’s or MBA in real estate; PhD preferred
• Minimum 10 years of extensive real estate knowledge
• Robust understanding of Canadian real estate dynamics
• Experience with experiential learning techniques
• Ability to teach in-person and adapt as necessary
