The City of Courtenay is seeking a dependable Operations Maintenance Worker for a temporary role in the Utilities Maintenance Division. Candidates must have experience in civil construction and possess valid certifications including a BC Class 3 Drivers License. Daily tasks will involve concrete and asphalt work, trench digging, and traffic control while operating light trucks and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in construction and repair of infrastructure
• Perform concrete and asphalt work daily




• Operate light trucks and necessary equipment
• Manage litter collection and snow shoveling
• Conduct minor repairs and cleaning tasks

Requirements:
• Grade 12 or equivalent education
• Valid BC Class 3 Drivers License with Air Endorsement
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in utilities construction
• Current Operator-In-Training certification
• Solid communication and interpersonal skills
