Job Description
Pharmacy Consultant role supporting drug and disability benefit programs
Permanent, full-time position with Canada Life
The pharmacy expert provides support for product development activities together with case management work.
Hybrid job arrangement that requires candidates to spend at least one day and more per week in the Winnipeg or Toronto office.
The Pharmacy Support Services department operates in a team-oriented environment which promotes collaboration among its members.

Responsibilities
Support drug plan sustainability while balancing member health and sponsor cost needs
Provide consultative support for drug and disability claim management
Develop and maintain Prior Authorization criteria and protocols
Work with pharmacists, nurses, and medical consultants on clinical input
Deliver customized recommendations for large plan sponsors and formularies
Liaise with pharmaceutical manufacturers
Conduct research and analysis on drug and disability policies and strategies
Maintain and update reference materials for drug and disability programs
Stay current with pharmacy and medical knowledge
Requirements
Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and licensed to practice in Canada
Minimum 2 years of related pharmacy experience
Bilingual in French and English considered an asset
Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills
Excellent written and verbal abilities
Effective decision making and documentation skills
Strong interpersonal and collaboration skillsEffective planning and organizational abilities
A customer focused approach
Ability to travel as required
Eligibility to obtain Reliability Status Security Clearance (cost covered by employer)
