Become an integral part of Sargent & Lundy as an Expert Piping Stress Engineer, specializing in nuclear project piping analysis. This hybrid job offers three days in-office and two days remote work each week.
In this senior engineering position, your focus will be on performing detailed piping analysis for both new and existing nuclear facilities. You will coordinate multiple engineering teams to deliver timely and efficient designs while guiding less experienced engineers through mentorship. Knowledge of current codes will be essential in ensuring compliance and optimizing design effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct in-depth analysis of piping systems
• Reconcile pipe stress reports effectively
• Generate analytical reports on structural reactions
• Identify issues in proposed support systems
• Provide project guidance and ensure timely delivery
Requirements:
• BS or MS in Mechanical or Structural Engineering
• Seven or more years in piping analysis
• Proficiency in ASME B31.1 and applicable codes
• Robust verbal and written communication skills
• Experience with CAESAR II or similar software
