Support branch leadership under the general direction of the Operations Manager
Provide peer-to-peer coaching and delegate duties based on workload
Support incident reviews and safety investigations
Report absences and obtain coverage for absent team members
Hold and answer the Onsite Leader cell phone
Accommodate customer-requested location closures
Manage after-hours requests on night shifts
Participate in scheduled customer calls
Sign off on Team Member FLHA and BBX requirements
Complete Behavior Based Safety Observations
Participate in health and safety initiatives, walkthroughs, and Field Level Hazard Assessments
Transport inventory and tools across the customer facility
Support Tool Management initiatives, including quotes, orders, repairs, recertification, status follow-up, and tool returns
Partner with Inventory to complete stock alignments, one-time orders, and MI’s
Conduct Toolbox Talks
Manage a customer-specific inbox and respond to customer stakeholders
Support Vending/VMI implementations, maintenance, and replenishment
Assist with vendor visits and onsite training
Provide exceptional customer service and resolve customer concerns
Support daily quotes, order processing, returns, receiving, stock put-away, tool serialization, repair staging, sourcing, and follow-ups
Foster communication among internal business partners and Onsite teams
Facilitate team-member onboarding and ongoing training
Maintain product knowledge and complete required training programs
Drive operational metrics for customer satisfaction, sales, safety, and operational improvements
Suggest and implement process and sales improvements
Ensure compliance with regulations and company policies
Perform other onsite support duties as required
Work a 7-days-on, 7-days-off rotation with 12-hour shifts from 7:30 to 7:30, alternating days and nights
Requirements Highschool Diploma or equivalent preferred
1-3 years of customer service and sales experience in a related field preferred
Previous leadership experience would be a definite asset
Passion for customer service, sales, and people development
Ability to energize others and work within high performing teams
Ability to adapt to shifting demands and competing priorities
Ability to understand and articulate the vision of Grainger to all team members
Proficient computer skills and aptitude in the use of computers and software applications
Ability to safely learn and operate powered industrial equipment
Valid driver’s license required
Ability to operate a Grainger Truck safely on a customer site required
Fit Test certification where applicable
Pre-employment background check required for all external candidates
