In this position at Prairie Machine, you’ll play a vital role within the application engineering team. Your main tasks will involve designing electrical systems, troubleshooting issues, and performing FAT testing on large mining machinery. Leveraging the latest technologies, you will contribute to enhancing equipment performance and reducing manufacturing costs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with Electrical and Mechanical Engineers on designs
• Troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing deficiencies
• Conduct FAT testing on mining equipment prior to shipment
• Design electrical power systems (600V and 4160V)
• Familiarize with ETAP for load flow and short circuit analysis
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering
• Minimum 2 years of related experience
• Background in BEV or Mining advantageous
• APEGS P.Eng. certification or eligibility is preferred
• Experience with AutoCAD and electrical systems design
