Become a Hydrology Analyst with Credit Valley Conservation, where your work will drive effective flood risk management. This permanent, full time role contributes directly to water resource strategies.
You will report to the Manager of Hydrology and Hydraulics and be involved in developing hydrologic models and conducting flood assessments. Effective use of software tools such as HECRAS will be essential. Your work will support the overall mission of the organization in maintaining water levels and managing flooding risks.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop hydrology models for accurate assessments
• Prepare floodplain and risk modeling maps
• Conduct and manage flood risk evaluations
• Ensure the operation of flood forecasting tools
• Coordinate with government bodies on policy improvement
Requirements:
• University degree in Water Resources Engineering or equivalent
• 3-5 years in hydrology and hydraulic modeling
• Excellent skills in data analysis and reporting
• Familiarity with stormwater policies and procedures
• Proficient in MS Office and hydraulic modeling software
