The Family Resource Worker (FRW) supports the daily operations of the EarlyON Child & Family Centre and Family Resource Program initiatives. The FRW develops, delivers, and evaluates high-quality, family-centred early learning programs and builds strong, supportive relationships with children, families, and community partners. This position contributes to community development, responds to individual and community requests for services and support, ensures up-to-date knowledge of community resources, ensures secure and inclusive program environments, and upholds the mission and values of OCOF/Nena.
The successful candidate will have an ECE diploma with current good-standing registration with the College of Early Childhood Educators, or a diploma/degree in Child & Youth Care, Social Service Work, Human Services, or a related field with relevant experience. A current Vulnerable Sector Check, Standard First Aid/CPR Level C, Food Handler certification, and Non-Violent Crisis Prevention and Intervention certification are required or must be obtained.



A valid Ontario Class G driver’s licence, clear driver’s abstract, and reliable vehicle are required, as the position involves daily travel throughout the Sudbury-Valley East region. Candidates must have experience working with young children and families, particularly those experiencing vulnerability or social barriers, and knowledge of child development, family systems, early learning, and community resources. Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, problem-solving, and teamwork skills are required, along with the ability to work independently, adapt to changing priorities, maintain confidentiality, and use Microsoft Office and communication platforms. The position involves a fast-paced environment, regular cleaning and sanitization, physical activities including lifting up to 16 kg (40 lbs), and responsibilities that may evolve based on program and community needs.
