Join Xyólheméylh as a Coordinator dedicated to Indigenous children and families in Chilliwack. Focus on nurturing youth identity while fostering community ties.

In this full time role, you will work closely with the Executive Director of Staff and Community Relations. Your mission as the Láts’ú:mexw Coordinator will be to build essential links with over 140 communities, helping youth understand their roots and develop a lifelong sense of identity. You will also support the Xyólheméylh team in connecting children to their home communities.

Key Responsibilities:
• Establish connections between children/youth and their communities
• Manage an internal registry of children/youth in care
• Aid social workers to formalize youth-community connections




• Advocate for the agency’s mission and goals
• Communicate effectively with Elders and community leaders

Requirements:
• Degree in Social Work or Indigenous Studies
• Appreciation of Indigenous culture and history
• Excellent writing and communication skills
• Proven ability to build respectful relationships
• Valid BC Driver’s License and dependable transport

Help foster connections for Indigenous youth and families through your role as a coordinator.
