Shape the future of the Ontario Jewish Archives as the Director at UJA Federation of Greater Toronto. This role focuses on enhancing archival strategies and fostering community engagement.
The Ontario Jewish Archives is set for an exciting transformation with its rebranding initiative scheduled for 2027. The Director will lead efforts in managing archival collections, implementing creative outreach programs, and driving community relationships. This position plays an essential role in presenting and preserving Jewish narratives for future generations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee the supervision of archival staff and volunteers
• Manage all aspects of archival operations and services
• Develop strategic initiatives for collection access and preservation
• Enhance digital platforms for public engagement and research
• Drive fundraising initiatives for program support
Requirements:
• 7-10 years of archival experience with supervisory roles
• Strong knowledge of archival preservation standards
• Experience in partnership development and grant writing
• Familiarity with Canadian Jewish history and culture
• Master’s degree in Archival Studies or relevant field
