Contribute to First Nations family law development as a Full-Time Permanent Liaison at the Assembly of Manitoba Chiefs. Engage with Manitoba’s First Nations to restore jurisdictional authority over children's matters.

In this pivotal role, you will work closely with First Nations under the direction of the Director of Children and Families. Your focus will be on creating and implementing customized Family Laws by evaluating community needs and addressing their unique challenges while fostering solid relationships.

Key Responsibilities:
• Schedule meetings to present and discuss Family Laws
• Collaborate on law customization for First Nations requirements
• Conduct capacity assessments for law development




• Aid in governance structure and policy implementations
• Share best practices on family reunification

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and four years of experience
• Understanding of First Nation philosophies in child welfare
• Superior organizational and project management skills
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Compliance with required criminal checks

Utilize your skills and experience to advocate for First Nations families and influence meaningful legal change.
