Empower individuals recovering from brain injuries as a Rehabilitation Counsellor with Providence Care. This full-time position focuses on developing essential life skills through tailored programs.
As part of the Community Brain Injury Services team, you will assess and enhance clients’ personal and community living skills. Your role is integral in implementing personalized strategies that promote independence and engagement in productive activities. You will also ensure to involve clients' families in the rehabilitation process for a supportive workplace.
Key Responsibilities:
• Participate in client assessments and skill evaluations
• Plan and execute development strategies collaboratively
• Document relevant observations and plans
• Support vocational skill development for employment
• Engage families in educational opportunities and updates
Requirements:
• 3-year degree or Community College Diploma in Human Studies
• Preferred background in brain injury rehabilitation
• First Aid and CPR certifications needed
• Expected to pursue R.R.P. and NVCI certifications
• Excellent documentation and collaboration skills
