Make an impact as a Youth Support Worker at YWCA Prince Albert Inc. This part time role focuses on client support, crisis management, and life skills training for youth.
As part of a permanent team, you'll be guaranteed 20 hours weekly at the Central Avenue Shelter. Your role will emphasize emotional support and effective advocacy for youth, fostering their independence while maintaining a positive, clean, and secure environment. Specialized experience with clients facing mental health challenges is essential to this role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Advocate for residents' transitioning into independence
• Perform room and bag checks for safety
• Complete routine and major cleaning duties
• Attend staff meetings and training sessions
• Respond to crises as they arise
Requirements:
• Valid Class 5 Saskatchewan Drivers License required
• Experience in crisis management with vulnerable clients
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications
• Capability to complete heavy lifting tasks
• Must pass Criminal and Vulnerable Sector Checks
