Positioned in Halifax, this role provides comprehensive administrative support to the Children’s Heart Centre and Cardiovascular Surgery. You will liaise across medical staff and departments to streamline surgeries, maintain patient files, and support academic research. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are crucial for anticipating challenges and enhancing clinic efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
• Schedule and coordinate surgeries and appointments
• Maintain accurate and organized patient files
• Assist with medical research and literature searches
• Manage travel arrangements and documentation
• Take meeting minutes and prepare correspondence
Requirements:
• Minimum High School Diploma required
• Medical Office Administration diploma is preferred
• At least two years of relevant administrative experience
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office and database tools
• Excellent communication and time management skills required
