George Gordon First Nation is looking for a Community Youth Worker to conduct life skills sessions for youth. The role encompasses planning, implementing, and evaluating prevention programs that uphold youth rights and promote healthy living. You will foster safe environments while mentoring youth to achieve personal goals and community integration.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct individual and group life skills sessions
• Plan youth-focused Prevention Programs with adaptable scheduling
• Coordinate and evaluate delivery of support services
• Mentor youth and promote personal responsibility
• Assist youth in daily living and community access
Requirements:
• At least some post-secondary education completed
• Experience in youth engagement and support services
• Excellent communication and mentoring abilities
• Strong understanding of youth rights and autonomy
• Experience related to documentation and service evaluation
