Job Description: Working under the direction of the Manager, the Health Educator‑Staff will support programming in Family Resources Centers and the larger community.
The Health Educator‑Staff will draw on theoretical and practical expertise to guide approaches using recent research and promising practices of early childhood development including culturally relevant, trauma informed practices. The Health Educator‑Staff ensures that programming is culturally relevant using a trauma informed lens. The Health Educator‑Staff collaborates with team members, community partners, program participants and other key stakeholders to translate local data into early learning environments to support quality assurance, program development, and service delivery.
Human Resources Exemption: No
Education Degree in Human Services field acceptable to the employer
Licenses Valid Class 5 driver's license
Competencies Communication skills
Computer skills
Knowledge and Abilities Knowledge and an understanding of the Saskatchewan Health Care Management model
Knowledge of various cultures and traditions
Ability to research best practice
Knowledge and understanding of child development in the family context
Ability to follow safe work practices
