Job Description
The Communications Specialist will focus on digital reputation & brand protection for a large QSR company.
You will be required to work in office 5 days a week in the Toronto office and perform the following duties: Monitor social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, X, Reddit, Tik
Tok, Threads) for brand reputation issues, draft responses to guest complaints, manage escalations, and identify emerging risks.
Partner closely with PR, Legal, Guest Services, Operations, and executive stakeholders to manage sensitive issues, protect the brand, and support crisis communications.
Oversee local owner social accounts, providing training, content approvals, compliance reviews, and ongoing support while tracking trends and reporting insights to leadership.

Skills and Requirements
4+ years of experience in PR/Communications at an enterprise company or an agency
Experience handling high-profile, sensitive, or reputational issues for a recognizable brand, agency, or organization with significant public exposure.
Strong written communication, critical thinking, and judgment in responding to complex public conversations and escalations, specifically on Social platforms
Highly adaptable, proactive, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, issue-management environment.
Background in consumer-facing industries such as QSR, Retail, Hospitality, Food & Beverage, Travel, Telecom, Financial Services, or CPG.
Familiarity with reporting tools, Excel-based tracking, social analytics, and identifying root-cause trends from customer feedback.
