As a Cook, your role revolves around preparing nutritious meals while maintaining a safe and clean work setting. You will use your experience in food preparation, ideally with supervisory responsibilities, to manage diet orders effectively and respond to any resident or family concerns. Supporting Food Services Workers is also part of what makes this role impactful.
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure meals are prepared safely and served on schedule
• Maintain sanitary conditions in food preparation areas
• Verify diet orders for new residents
• Respond to concerns from residents and families
• Supervise Food Services Workers to ensure quality service
Requirements:
• Experience as a Cook, preferably in a supervisory capacity
• Valid provincial Safe Food Handling Certificate
• Minimum level of education: public school; high school preferred
• Diploma or certificate in food preparation
• Commitment to providing quality care and service
