Join the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo as an Advisor in Indigenous and Rural Relations. This full-time role focuses on community engagement, cultural awareness, and program development.

In this position, you will liaise with Indigenous and rural communities to enhance municipal services and address concerns effectively. With at least five years of proven experience in Indigenous settings, you will provide essential advice to management and support community development initiatives. Your role will bridge the gap between local governance and community needs.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead consultation with Indigenous and rural communities
• Support cultural awareness and reconciliation initiatives
• Develop and implement Indigenous engagement policies




• Provide technical advice on legislation and program implementation
• Advocate for the needs of rural communities

Requirements:
• Five years of experience with Indigenous communities
• Knowledge of Indigenous culture and protocols
• Solid written and verbal communication skills
• Valid Class Five Operator’s License
• Problem-solving and negotiation expertise
