This temporary full-time position allows you to work under the Botany Curator, focusing on high-priority specimens transferred from Canadian National Parks. The role requires expertise in databasing, digital file management, and the application of preventive conservation methods. You'll collaborate closely within a diverse team to streamline workflows and coordinate data capture for museum collections.
Key Responsibilities:
• Process and digitize herbarium specimens efficiently
• Coordinate data and images for collection systems
• Act as primary contact for workflow challenges
• Repair and handle specimens carefully
• Maintain effective communication with team members
Requirements:
• Post-secondary education in Sciences or Museum studies
• Experience with high-volume databasing and digital photography
• Familiarity with natural history specimen handling
• Robust collaboration skills in team environments
• English or French essential; bilingualism a plus
