Assist in Canada’s innovation journey as a Senior Advisor, Academic-Industry Partnerships at Mitacs. Use your creativity and strategic thinking to build impactful partnerships in the Okanagan region.

This role focuses on connecting researchers and businesses to address challenges and foster economic growth. As you develop relationships with regional post-secondary institutions and organizations, your role will be to identify collaborative opportunities that align academic resources with the needs of the community. You'll work autonomously, advancing partnerships that have significant regional impact.

Key Responsibilities:
• Build relationships with academic and industry partners
• Develop engagement plans prioritizing high-value opportunities




• Provide informed guidance on partnership pathways
• Monitor regional economic trends and partner needs
• Ensure accurate portfolio management in Mitacs systems

Requirements:
• Advanced degree, preferably a PhD
• Solid experience in managing complex external relationships
• Knowledge of regional innovation ecosystems
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills
• Capacity to collaborate effectively with diverse partners
