Urgent Care Physician, 25-EEHC-FAM-UCC-LOC-32
Alberta Health Services (AHS) is inviting applications from physicians, with a background and experience in urgent care or emergency care to join the team at the East Edmonton Urgent Care.

We are looking for up to 20 physicians interested in working at the East Edmonton Urgent Care Centre (UCC) on a Locum basis with the possibility of transitioning to ongoing. The East Edmonton Urgent care is expanding its hours. At this time, we are looking for physicians interested in working overnight shifts and weekend shifts.

On-site lab and DI are available. Clinic operations are fully computerized with the Connect Care EMR.

EEHC is affiliated with the University of Alberta, and serves as an significant training facility for residents and students. Therefore, the successful candidate will be encouraged to apply for a Clinical Academic appointment in the Department of Family Medicine,



University of Alberta which will be considered under a separate process through the Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry.

Must have certification in Family Medicine with the Canadian College of Family Physicians or Certification in Emergency Medicine with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons

Must have active licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta (CPSA) .

Minimum 1 year of ER experience (rural or urban) is preferred.

Compensation: Remuneration is on a fee-for-service basis and is competitive with other North American jurisdictions.
