The Assembly of First Nations (AFN) is seeking a Senior Policy Analyst for the Languages and Learning Sector. This role demands excellence in research, policy analysis, and stakeholder engagement, focusing on First Nations priorities. Candidates should possess robust analytical and communication skills to support goal achievement in alignment with AFN’s national strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Gather and analyze complex data on First Nations issues
• Develop policies through stakeholder engagement
• Recommend policy changes impacting First Nations
• Maintain and update datasets relevant to projects
• Facilitate meetings and consultations for projects
Requirements:
• Post-secondary degree in relevant field
• Minimum 5 years of policy experience in First Nations
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of intergovernmental partnerships
• Ability to communicate in French or a First Nations language is an asset
