About the Role
Our client, a significant player in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry, is seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Procurement Specialist to manage the sourcing of raw materials and packaging for their operations in Kimberley. This role is crucial for ensuring the consistent supply of high-quality materials at competitive prices, directly impacting product cost and quality. You will be responsible for identifying and vetting suppliers, negotiating contracts, and managing supplier relationships to support the company's manufacturing needs in the Northern Cape. Source, negotiate, and purchase raw materials and packaging components according to specified quality and quantity requirements. Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers, ensuring they meet the company's standards for quality, reliability, and ethical practices. Manage existing supplier relationships, fostering collaboration and ensuring timely delivery of goods. Conduct market analysis to stay informed about price trends, supply chain risks,
and new material innovations. Negotiate favorable contract terms, pricing, and payment conditions with suppliers. Maintain accurate procurement records and manage inventory levels in collaboration with relevant departments. Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field. 3-5 years of experience in procurement or sourcing, preferably within the FMCG or manufacturing sectors. Solid understanding of raw material sourcing and supplier management. Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge of supply chain best practices and quality control standards. Benefits
