Support diverse learners as a Casual Learning Support Worker with School District No. 91 in Fort St. James. Engage with students needing tailored educational support on a flexible schedule.
In this casual role, you will work closely with educational staff to meet individual student needs, helping deliver educational programs effectively. Your advocacy will play a vital role in fostering a nurturing workplace for both groups and individuals. This position includes no guaranteed hours, promoting necessary adaptability.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with school staff for personalized student support
• Facilitate regular or alternative educational activities
• Advocate for students as part of school-based teams
• Assist in implementing individualized learning strategies
• Ensure a supportive and inclusive learning atmosphere
Requirements:
• Completion of Grade 12 (Dogwood Certificate)
• Successful completion of an Education Assistant Certificate
• At least 6 months experience working with youth
• Valid BC Class 5 Driver’s License required
• WHMIS 2015 Certificate and knowledge of safety procedures
