Reporting directly to the Manager of Resident Services, this temporary part-time role involves developing and facilitating therapeutic recreation activities for long-term care residents. You will assess current residents and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to enhance their daily living quality through individual and group programs. A compassionate and patient demeanor is essential for establishing connections with residents.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and facilitate recreation programs for residents
• Conduct assessments for individualized care plans
• Maintain quarterly updates for resident care plans
• Participate in team communication and care conferences
• Accompany residents on community outings
Requirements:
• Two-year diploma or degree in a related field
• Over one year of experience in long-term care
• Valid Class ‘G’ Driver’s License
• Ability to work flexible evening and weekend shifts
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
