Become a vital part of NTPC as a SCADA System Operator located in Yellowknife, NT, overseeing electrical network performance through strategic monitoring and control. This role focuses on safety and effective operations involving both hydro and diesel power.

As part of the Energy South Division, you will maintain the electrical networks' integrity by utilizing SCADA for system adjustments and generating insightful reports. This position necessitates effective public communication during outages, ensuring concerns are addressed professionally and clearly.

Key Responsibilities:
• Operate hydro turbines and diesel generators via SCADA
• Respond to system alarms and adjust operations accordingly
• Generate hourly, daily, and monthly reporting documents




• Execute detailed switching and Work Protection Permits
• Troubleshoot system errors and restore operations swiftly

Requirements:
• High School Diploma with a minimum of 5 years in a related field
• Certificates in Power Engineering or similar disciplines are assets
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Competence in interpreting electrical data and diagrams
• Must hold a valid class 5 driver's license
