City of Toronto has released a notification in which they’re inviting candidates for the post of Consultant H&S; and Emerg Planning. They are responsible for developing, documenting, and updating the Division’s Health & Safety manual as well as planning, promoting, and monitoring safety measures.

Candidates must attain experience in developing audit reports, recommendations, and action plans to ensure compliance with city policies.
They will conducts research into the given topics, making sure that the research takes into consideration industry advancements, and business policies.
Job requirement
Candidates must have the ability to act as a completely accountable program leader, identify needs, start, organize, and oversee the implementation of programs and solutions in response to divisional concerns.
They have to coordinate the creation of the Division’s OH&S; training strategy and curriculum,
including the selection and scheduling of the necessary first and recurrent training programs.
They should be well-versed in the Occupational Health and Safety Act, related regulations, rules, recommendations, and other relevant laws.
Work setting
Candidates have post secondary degree or certification in a Health or Safety discipline relevant to the job function.
They have expertise in emergency planning and occupational health and safety compliance in the construction industry.
Candidates must have extensive knowledge of hazard analysis and the creation and modification of safety procedures.
