We are looking for our next Plant Performance Specialist to join our Performance Team on a fixed-term contract of 18 to 24 months.

The Plant Performance Specialist will monitor and maintain plant KPIs and the Master Plan, collaborate with the Production Manager and broader team to coach and challenge current practices and standards, and report on key performance pillars, including OEE, SPC, 5W, and operational routines. Expected deliverables include driving competitiveness improvements, increasing OEE, ensuring Master Plan adherence, and maintaining compliance with Safety, Quality, Process, and Maintenance standards.

This position is located in Portage la Prairie, Manitoba, Canada.

Please note: This is a temporary fixed-term opportunity with an expected duration of 18 to 24 months.

What You'll Do:

Monitor and report on monthly production capacities (SI&OP;).

Analyze downtime data, production losses, and trends to prioritize improvement efforts.

Support budget preparation including capacities, CAPEX, and OPEX.

Identify improvement opportunities, projects, and corresponding master plans.

Lead master plan follow-up and target reporting.

Support daily, weekly, and monthly TOPs and assess their effectiveness.

Assist with problem solving and implementation of corrective actions.

Support Lean Six Sigma and operational excellence practices.

Design, consolidate, and manage performance pillar roadmaps (SPC, OEE, Routines).

Conduct field assessments (Gemba Walks) of performance pillar implementation.

Promote reliable and relevant data usage across functions.

Support audit preparation.

Coordinate action plans derived from the master plan.





Participate in CAPEX projects as contributor and/or owner.

Lead gap analyses and define optimization solutions.

Maintain dashboards and identify deviations through weak signal analysis.

Suggest and implement new tools and practices.

Train teams on Operational Excellence tools and assess competencies.

Support training programs and develop team skills.

What You'll Need:
Education

Post-secondary education in Engineering, Operations, or Business.

Training in Lean, Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing (Preferred)

Experience

1-3 years of previous experience in manufacturing, process improvement, or project management.

Knowledge of continuous industrial processes and operational excellence concepts (TPM, SPC, etc.).

Working knowledge of data analytics and lean principles.

Supervisory Responsibility

No direct reports.

Work Setting

Field presence required to identify improvement opportunities, assess standards, and understand workshop activities.
